See you at the market!

Shown above is our refrigerated van and our newly decked out farm stand. We’re grateful to a generous and talented volunteer who created a lovely banner for us so that our booth stands out to customers.

Each week, our team packs up the refrigerated van and pulls into downtown Rock Island on Saturday mornings with produce grown across our urban farm system made up of 12 garden sites and a hydroponics container. These markets are a chance to share the literal fruits of our labor AND to build support for the future of Tapestry Farms. The profits from these sales directly fund our programs—everything from housing and healthcare to English classes and job support for refugee families.

We’ve expanded our market presence this summer and we feel really lucky to get to do so. We remain a faithful participant at the QC Farmers’ Market in Rock Island, and you’ll now find us in Bettendorf as well. We’re able to do this because of our incredible farm team and our staff, interns, and volunteers.

In addition to the opportunity to share our produce with the wider Quad Cities and generate income to fuel our mission of welcoming refugee neighbors, we love the spirit of connection that we find at the farmers’ market. We look forward to seeing familiar faces return week after week. We love getting to introduce new customers to our delicious food and mission. We believe that food grown carefully right here in our community has the power to bring people together and to nourish bodies, our local economy, and the relationships that make life full. Saturday mornings at the market are a testament to the power of community and the impact of supporting local, sustainable agriculture.

We invite everyone to visit the Tapestry Farm farm stands this summer to experience fresh, locally grown produce, engage with community, support local refugees, and be a part of something really special! Here’s where you’ll find us:
